Canzonetta sull’aria

[This is a guest post from Philip. Read it quick before Lanier sees it!]

Lanier’s friend Rachel stopped by the other day for a little visit. After a few cups of tea, they moved to the piano and sang a few tunes. I got out my laptop and tried capture a little bit of the captivating music they were making. Listen to this track I just mixed down and see if it captivates you:

Sull’aria, from the third act from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro

(roughly translated – a little song on the air)

  1. This recording has amazed me (and aroused my curiosity). I prefer this version of Duettino Sull’aria to any opera company version that I’ve ever heard! I love the slightly faster tempo. Are either Lanier or Rachel professional singers? Was Rachel playing the piano as well as singing the responses? I hope you will do more . . . like this one? Best wishes, Tim (England – UK)

    1. How kind of you, Tim. Thank you! Neither of us are professionals by any means…just good friends who love to sing together. 🙂 I think I was actually playing the piano on that one, if memory serves me.

Thanks, again for the encouragement! 🙂
