Dear Ones,

Just popping in to say that I’ve finally completed and dispatched the first installment in what I hope will be a weekly newsletter chronicling our restoration story. I’m still overwhelmed by your response to my query, and I sincerely hope I didn’t miss anyone who asked to be included.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you wanted to receive the newsletter and didn’t–or if you received it and would prefer to be removed from the list. In an era of unrelenting information and overflowing inboxes, it’s my wish to cultivate a bright little candle of “all things new” against the dark of an increasingly homesick world. I pray that this small story of loss and renewal would image the larger story of redemptive purpose ever at work in our world, and that “the God of hope [would] fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Under the Mercy,

~Lanier

  13. Dear Lanier,
I have read and loved your blog since I was a homesick 17-year-old away at University many miles from home. 10 years on I am preparing for my wedding and my glory box is full of treasures waiting to fill a big old 1930s house that needs a bit of love to make it into a home. You and Philip are an inspiration. Please include me in your mailing list and I will, as ever, relish every single word!

  14. I would like to follow your journey of restoration. I first read of you and your lovely home in one of my Southern Living Christmas books. You had the same Southern Belle painting in your dining room that was in my home in Birmingham. I now have it here in my home in Buford. Many blessings.

  15. Iā€™d love to receive the newsletter. I requested it once so hopefully this time will work! I love reading about the progress on your home.

I would love to read your newsletter. Thank you so much.
