  1. Well, according to the “personality test”, I am Eliza Bennet. Not too far off I think, I just saw that complete series and really enjoyed it!
Keep up the good work Lanier,
    Love, Kathrin

  2. Oh dear, I got Lydia. Lydia! This cannot be right. It is too alarming. I guess I got her because I enjoy dancing so much (especially Austen-type dancing!). Ah well. ๐Ÿ™‚ Usually I get Marianne on these things, and I’m always glad of that. But I do believe I have a good dose of Eleanor in me too.

  3. Melinda, I think that I successfully navigated the ‘Lydia’ questions just because I knew where all those dancing allusions were going… ๐Ÿ™‚ You love ‘period dancing’ as well?? That’s how I met Philip–very close to my heart! ๐Ÿ™‚ But that’s another story…

  4. Oh, I adore period dancing! I live in a place that has a period dance for many Christians in the area twice yearly. I’m positively thrilled! Since I’ve just moved here, I haven’t been to any yet (except for one nearly two years ago when I was visiting the area). I have been to multiple “balls” on other occasions though (Civil War reenactments, other Christian dances, dances with friends in their living room, etc.), and even the wedding I was just at had period dancing. I tossed aside my pinching shoes and danced away. ๐Ÿ™‚

How wonderful that you too are quite acquainted with such delights!

  5. Well, I ended up as Marianne too! Somehow I always saw myself as more of an Elizabeth. I guess I need to study Philip’s personality more closely!

P.S. I had so much fun today with you guys!!

  6. You are Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. You’re pretty arrogant, but that pride stemsfrom the deep-seated knowledge that you aregenerally the most superior creature in anygiven room. The good news is that you aredeeply loyal to your family, and you have agenerous and charitable streak, even thoughmost people don’t notice because you are toobusy practicing a large vocabulary of sternlooks.

I found the activity to be tolerable, though not amusing enough to tempt me. Did you really think I would find pleasure in taking a test so far beneath me?

Seriously… my only thought was “Wow! you can get actually get a guy on this test?” This really changes my view of Elizabeth (Philip) Bennett.

  7. Gary,
I just looked at the javascript on the quizilla site and learned something. To get a male result, you have to be atleast 10 years older than your wife.

  8. Lanier, I couldn’t pick myself off the floor for a good five minutes laughing and crying at the same time when I say my results……Colonal Brandon Sensible….Sexy . At least I have the Sexy part otherwise things would look very grim. Kevan turned out to be Elizabeth which when I read it described him fairly well. Anyway we had a fun time doing it. Hope to see you soon.

  9. Oh, Bekah, darling…I confess I’d never have pegged you. More along the Elinor lines, I would have thought! ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks like Kevan and Philip need to brush up on their scornful looks and arrogant poses. Love you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Lanier, I just took the test and found it very amusing. I got Emma, which Rob would definitely agree with, especially the meddlesome part! I agree with Gary, I’ll never look at E. Bennet in the same way (or Philip for that matter)!

  11. I’m Willoughby! Wait! This is a guy right? Hard to tell from the picture. Hope so though cause Phillip found out he was a girl! Maybe I should rent this movie. Hope it’s at Blockbuster so I don’t have to read the book. Now off to the personality test.
