Let this New Year be the beginning of a new life wherein “old things are passed away.” Let all blessed old things stay, but let the clutter of our heads and hearts be removed, that new inspirations and new affections may come in to gladden our lives.
Dear Lanier,
I happened onto your webpage perhaps 5 years ago when I was doing a search for articles about Elizabeth Goudge. I think there were only a few entries at that time. I do recall reading the story of your family vacation to PEI prior to your marriage.
It was with delight that I discovered this week that this has been an on-going journal, which I have been reading during these cold evenings of semi-hibernation.
Your joy in reading, writing, music, gardening, your animals, as well as your expressions of your Christian faith, are an inspiration.
I will be returning to follow your journal entries.

What a lovely cake and setting. Thank you for taking the time and effort to let us have a photographic peek before slicing! 🙂
